He was predeceased by: his parents, James Robinson and Maggie Robinson; his wife Mary Robinson; and his siblings, Minnie Hopkins, Thelma Mae Edgerly and Curtis Robinson.
He is survived by: his children, Brenda Hutchens and Raymond Roberts (Shannon); his grandchildren, Tracy Fulk and Teresa Gray (John); his great grandchild Kimberly Swicegood (John); his great great grandchild Raelan; and his nieces, Debbie Fisher (Jack) and Kim Kehoe (Jim).
The lying in state was held on Wednesday, February 11th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the George Brothers Funeral Service (803 Greenhaven Dr, Greensboro, NC 27406). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, February 11th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Guilford Memorial Park (6000 W Gate City Blvd, Greensboro, NC 27407).
He was a faithful member of Rankin Baptist Church and was also a Freemason, emphasizing friendship, charity, and moral self-improvement.
