With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jewelle Burton Fields (Greensboro, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 1, 2026 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lucille Burton and William Burton; her husband Maurice "Woody" Fields; her sons, Maurice Fields, Jr. and Randy Fields; and her siblings, Marshall Burton, Bill Burton, Frank Burton and Geraldine Burton.
She is survived by: her nieces, Marsha Burton (Allen) of Birmingham and Regina Nilsson of Greenville. She is also survived by her many friends and neighbors.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Greensboro.
