He was predeceased by: his parents, Will Day and Mary Bell Baynes Day; his wife Mildred Miles Day; his brothers, John William Day, Ralph E. Day and Monroe Day; and his grandchildren, Charmaine and Alfred III.
He is survived by: his children, Joe Franklin Day and Lois Ann Day Richardson (Kenneth); his grandchildren, Nikeata, Antoinette, Jovonne, LaJoi and Faith; and his siblings, Alfred Day (Cassandra) and Ida Mae Day Scales (Francine Fisher). He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
