He was predeceased by: his parents, John Cabler and Lessie Cabler. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Jones Cabler; his daughter Jennifer Cabler; his siblings-in-law, Harold Jones (Judy), Carolyn Turner (Johnny) and Rita Shively (Bobby); his stepgrandson Morgen Daw (Haley); his stepgreat-granddaughter Lilly Daw; and his nieces and nephews, Beverly, Julie, Jeremy and Robert.
