He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Maggie" Stallings Collins; his stepson John Thompson II (Jennifer Smith); his granddaughter Penelope Thompson; his stepdaughter Julie Thompson; his son-in-law Paul Rose; his grandson Ashton Rose; his sisters, Rita Farabee (late Larry) and Wendy Craven (Tim); his nephews, Chris Farabee (Candace) and Sam Craven (Jessie); and his niece Anne Marie Craven.
