It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Johnson (Greensboro, North Carolina), who passed away on December 11, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl H. Horton and Virginia Crowder (Waldo); her brothers, George Crowder and Jimmy Crowder; and her siblings-in-law, Charles Ball and Jacqueline Horton.
She is survived by: her children, Jennifer Johnson (Bob), John Johnson (Traci) and Julie Houck (Andy); her grandchildren, Allison Houck, Sara Johnson, Matthew Johnson and Samuel Houck; and her siblings, Virginia Ball, Howell Horton, Sr. and Frances Ladd. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Lakeview Memorial Park (3600 N O. Henry Blvd, Greensboro, NC 27405).
