June Carter Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of June Carter (Greensboro, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 8, 2025 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of June Carter to pay them a last tribute.

In the sacred silence of farewell, June is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that June's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Frank Dowd and Ollie May Chrismon Dowd. She is survived by: her brother Mark Saunders Dowd; her sister-in-law Jacky Burton Dowd; her son David Abbott III; her daughter-in-law Tham Pham Abbott; and her granddaughter Yvonne Thi Abbott (Yvie).

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Forbis and Dick Funeral Service - North Elm Chapel (1118 N Elm St, Greensboro, NC 27401).

Instead of flowers she asked that donations be made to St Jude's Children's Hospital (https://www.stjude.org) or the Salvation Army.
