She was predeceased by: her parents, John Francis and Margaret Malone O'Brien; her husband Kenneth P. Carty, Sr.; and her siblings, John James, Loretta, Margaret (Peggy), Eileen, Emily and Thomas.
She is survived by: her children, Christine Carty Dohm (Donald) of Madison, Sheila Carty of Cary, Kenneth P. Carty, Jr. (Jessie) of Huntersville and Brian Carty of Raleigh; and her grandchildren, Thomas, Patrick and Ryan Dohm.
