He was predeceased by: his mother Lola Burns of Jamestown, NC.. He is survived by: his wife Joyce McDonald Burns; his children, Lori Mashburn (Ernie) and Todd Burns (Leighann); his grandsons, Justin Burns (Kayte), Jacob Mashburn, Seth Mashburn and Noah Burns; and his great grandchild Skylar Burns.
