He is survived by: his wife Carole Burgess Stevens; his son Neil Murphy (Sarah) of Elizabethtown; his grandchildren, Patrick Murphy (Brittany) of Knightdale, Troy Murphy (Parker), Ashley Ratcliffe (Michael) of Lumberton and Meredith Aukamp (Jason Weissinger) of Elizabethtown; his great grandchildren, Finley and Asher Murphy of Knightdale; his brother Jerry Stevens (Mary) of Jonesboro; his sister-in-law Judy Stevens of Riverside; and his nephews, Christopher, Garry Jr. (Donna) and Jerry Stevens. He is also survived by other nieces and nephews.
