He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Mead and Margaret Davies Mead; and his wife Leida Shaylor Mead. He is survived by: his children, Wendell Mead (Amy), Brent Mead (Mary) and Joy Abels (Stephen); and his siblings, Graceann Kellogg and Timoty Mead (Joyce). He is also survived by grandchildren; six precious great grandchildren.

“Rev Lee Mead set the gold standard for ministry in Candor as a faithful shepherd at Willseyville for so many years. He was humble. He rode his bicycle to and from the school bus garage, and he had a smile for everyone on the way. And he was faithful to Jesus. Last year I was two counties away at an installation service and someone heard I was from Candor. He found me after the service and told me that he accepted Christ as a result of a New Testament Pastor Mead had given him as a child.”
