He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Bynum and Margaret Scruggs Bynum. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Richmond Bynum of Salisbury, NC; his children, Tremell Lane of Bennettsville, SC, Durelle, Melvin Bynum of Greensboro, Brandon Bynum (Latrice) of Gastonia and Chamar Bynum of Lynbrook; his siblings, Patricia Bynum Williamson of Winston-Salem and Lee Bynum (Eugenia) of Thomasville; his brother-in-law Andre Richmond of Greensboro; his grandchildren, Sherelle Bynum of Greensboro, Dajhelon Bynum of Greensboro, Nia Bynum of Greensboro, Kiara Bynum of Greensboro, Genesis Bynum of New York, Lavon Bynum of Gastonia, Jordan Bynum of Gastonia and Isaiah Walker of Gastonia; and his niece Brittany Leak Williamson of Winston-Salem. He is also survived by cousins, relatives and friends.
