It is with sadness that the passing of Leroy Vann Hicks of Greensboro, North Carolina is shared. Leroy, born on November 11, 1939, passed away on October 5, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Leroy will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor Leroy by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Leroy is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Leroy’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia White-Hicks; and his children, Reggis Vann Hicks and Karen Vanessa Hicks.
Viewing will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:50 PM and from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mount Moriah AME Church (13950 State Hwy 210, Rocky Point, NC 28457).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Leroy's memory to the Pender County Training School/South Pender High Alumni.
