She was predeceased by: her significant other Walter "Sweetie" M. Coleman; her parents, George Suits and Lela Suits; and her brothers, Gilbert, Tommy and Herman Suits.
She is survived by: her daughters, Melissa Strickland of Ruffin, NC and Beth Coleman of Burlington, NC; her grandchild Jami Anderson (Ben) of Davidson, NC; her daughter Charlie Shaver (Sara) of Clemmons, NC; her great grandchildren, Emery, Sloane Anderson, Henry and Walter Shaver; her sister Rita Davis; her brother-in-law John Norton; and her sibling's children, Derrick Davis, Anthony Davis, Dr. John Norton (Beth), Tim Coleman and Nancy Coleman Melton. She is also survived by extended family, and a host of close friends.
