It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Ann Mitchell of Greensboro, North Carolina, who passed away on December 15, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Brigman and Eloise Womack Brigman; and her siblings, Jesse Sue Hutchinson and Jimmy Brigman. She is survived by: her brothers, Billy Brigman and Jay Brigman (Sandie); her nephews, Sonny Hutchinson, Mike Hutchinson, Jeff Hutchinson (Kathy), Jesse Hilliard and Jayson Brigman; her great-nephews, Dean Hutchinson and Alex Hutchinson; her great-niece Katelyn Hutchinson; her close friends, Franki Morgan and Julie Harris; Tyson Hilliard.
In lieu of flowers, (especially the dreaded poinsettias, IYKYK), memorial contributions may be made to one of Mary Ann's favorite charities, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Children's Home Society of North Carolina.
