He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Zimmerman and Dorothy Zimmerman; and his sisters, Wanda Alverson and Sherry Jones. He is survived by: his wife Dianna C. Zimmerman; his children, April Rumple (Ronnie), Kim Sudderth (George) and Doug Zimmerman (Stefanie); his grandchildren, Brooke, Megan, Cheyenne, Lauren, Kaylee, Colin, Aiden, Jackson and Harrison; and his great grandchildren, Lilly, Eleanor, Camden, Stetson and Elsie Mae.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the George Brothers Funeral Service (803 Greenhaven Dr, Greensboro, NC 27406). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
