With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Melissa Yow of Greensboro, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 25, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Margaret Plummer Keck and William Cox; her husband Cletus W. Yow, Jr.; her stepfathers, James Edwards and Jay Keck; her brother Michael Edwards; her sister-in-law Irene Edwards; and her niece Kim Edwards.
She is survived by: her children, Terri Y. Oliver (Jack) of Greensboro, NC, Lisa Y. Capps (Duane) of Julian, NC and Cletus W. "Clete" Yow, III of Clayton, NC; her grandchildren, Tara (Thomas), Melissa, Kimsey, Trey (Kaci), Jacob (Hope) and Jhey; her great grandchildren, Kyra (Logan), Breyonna Jordan, Jacklynn, Aleah, MaKinleigh, Paxton, Charlie Jean, Fields, Ryder, Lyza, Lainey and Luke; her caregiver Whitney Locklear; and her sister Diane Maness (Jerry) of Summerfield, NC. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and other extended family.
