He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyce Cooke and Mettie Cooke; his brother-in-law Tommy West; his wife Jackie Cooke; his sister-in-law Janice West; and his nephew Ricky West.
He is survived by: his brother David; his sister-in-law Kris Cooke of Greensboro; his nephew Brian Cooke (Claire); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Dallas and Bo; his nephew Allen Cooke (Abbey); his great-nephews, Max of Greensboro and Jake of Greensboro; his great-niece Sally of Greensboro; his nephews, Randy West and Ronny West (Christian); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Rivers and Becker of Myrtle Beach.
In lieu of flowers, Mike requested that contributions be made to Reelin' for Research, an organization that raises money for pediatric cancer research at UNC Children's Hospital 1852 Banking Street, # 9333 Greensboro, NC 27408 or http://www.reelinforresearch.org .
