He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Louis Brumsey and Elizabeth "Wendie" Brumsey (Moore); his sons, Michael Brumsey (Kimberly) of Wilmington, NC and Patrick Brumsey (Jessica) of Wilmington, NC; his grandchildren, Brighton Brumsey, Lucas Brumsey and Olivia Brumsey; and his siblings, Patricia Brumsey Talton of Seven Lakes, NC, Roberta Brumsey (Bobbi), Marcius of Greensboro, NC, Mark Brumsey of Pittsboro, NC and Andrew Brumsey (On-Site Hose) of Apex, NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mike's memory to Prostate Cancer Foundation, or to a Veterans organization.
