In the sacred silence of farewell, Michael Richard is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Duran and Ellen Kelly; his stepfather Allen Kelly; and his daughter Courtney Staley. He is survived by: his wife Cathy Duran; his children, Jessica Branch (Tommy) of Pleasant Garden, Morgan Causey (Adam) of Julian and Joseph Duran; and his brothers, Alan Duran of Manchester, CT, Kevin Duran (Lisa) of Newington, CT and Joe Duran of Hyannis, MA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Freedom House (PO Box 38215 Greensboro NC 27438 and Mountain Top Youth Camp (1460 Mackay Ln, Pinnacle NC 27043), both organizations close to Michael's heart.
