She was predeceased by: her parents, Marcus Eugene and Alsie Barham Carr; her son Jeffrey Ryan Nelson; and her sisters, Ida Carr Penry and Jane Carr Crowder.
She is survived by: her husband Donald "Don" Nelson; her daughter Marcia Carr Hernandez of Greensboro; and her siblings, Dr. Marcus Eugene Carr, Jr. (Sherri) of Richmond, VA and Beverly Carr Key (David) of Greensboro.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Nancy's memory to the charity of the donor's choice or plant a tree in Nancy's memory.
