She was predeceased by: her husband Edward Walter Phelps; her parents, William Mayo Marcus and Lutie Virginia Marcus; and her brother Grover Wade Marcus. She is survived by: her children, Jill Ellen Phelps of Rural Hall, Edward Marcus Phelps of Captain, USN, Lisa of Daleville and Virginia; her grandchildren, Taylor Bennett (Jennifer) of Asheville, Marcus Phelps (Lindsey) of Daleville, Virginia, Lea Williams (Bishop) of Hubert, Turner Phelps (Taylor) of Vinton and Sarah Phelps (Cristian) of Quesada; and her great grandchildren, Bennett, Henry Williams of Hubert, Owen Phelps of Daleville, Waylon and Eula Lee Bennett of Asheville.
