He was predeceased by: his brother Prem Raj Dahal; and his parents, Rewati Raman Dahal and Yagya Dahal. He is survived by: his wife Menuka Dahal; his children, Puja Dahal, Pushpa Dahal and Pukar Dahal; his grandchildren, Kalash Dahal, Saayuri Nepal, Sasha Dahal, Jon Vakhidov and Lazi Dhakal; his siblings, Chandra Kala Koirala, Nirwan Dahal and Chakra Dahal; his nieces, Susma Dhakal and Kabita Dahal; and his nephew Madhav Dhakal.
