She was predeceased by: her parents, James Carter and Sallie Booth Carter; and her husband Melvin Lee Hatcher. She is survived by: her son Melvin Lee Hatcher, Jr.; her daughter-in-law Aleatha Ziegler Hatcher; and her cousin Larry Richardson.
