He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Garrett and Ella Garrett. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Burns-Garrett of Greensboro, NC; his son Joshua Philip Garrett of Raleigh, NC.; and his grandchildren, Piper and Jackson Garrett of Raleigh, NC..
