She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Moore and Flora Shaw Moore; her husband Robet Lee Yates, Jr.; her daughter Sherry Yates Downs; and her brothers, Harry, Floyd, Adrian and Raymond.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Lee Yates, III (Lynn) and Ellen Yates; and her son-in-law Jerry Downs. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 4 great great-grandchildren; and other extended family.
A graveside service was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Lakeview Memorial Park (3600 N O. Henry Blvd, Greensboro, NC 27405).
