He is survived by: his grandchildren, Meredith, Tripp, DeeAnna, Stefani and Scottie; his great grandchildren, Cam and Hudson; his extended family, Editha Strickland and Mae Cruz; and his son John Eric Cruz (Carla) of Greensboro.
