It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Comer Vernon (Greensboro, North Carolina), born in Rockingham, North Carolina, who passed away on April 14, 2026, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Rita may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Rita touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouse Chris; and her children, Elijah and Sydni. She was also cherished by her husband, children, grand cats, siblings, and nieces and nephews.
