He was predeceased by: his parents, George Knox and Anne Knox; and his brother George Cowan Knox. He is survived by: his wife Priscilla Knox; his stepson Robert Joseph Knox Jr. (Harriette) of Beaufort, S. C.; his stepgrandchild Davis of Washington, D. C.; his stepson Jeffrey Scott Knox (Kim) of Greensboro; his stepgrandchild Slater of Fuquay Varina, N. C.; and his stepchildren, Reid of Greensboro, N. C. and Elizabeth of Savannah.
