He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Hosea Pridgen and Mary Lou Green; and his sister Patricia Scott. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Pridgen; his children, Alicia Pridgen Hausler, Wynton Kelly Pridgen, Glen Robert Pridgen and Michelle Pridgen Barry; his grandchildren, Erika, Sommer, Jordan, Taylor, Matthew, Mary Margaret and Justin; and his nieces, Lynette Corbett, Carolyn Gunter and Kathy Held.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Music Academy of Greensboro, reflecting his lifelong passion for music.
