He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Daniel and Ruth Maines Hatchel; his son Clay Lee Hatchel; his siblings, Virginia Ward (Ray) and Ronnie Ray Hatchel; and his close friend Homer Thornburg (Brenda).
He is survived by: his wife Della "Delane" Elledge Hatchel; his son Roger Thomas Hatchel (Brandy); his daughter-in-law Alison Hatchel; his grandchildren, Dustin Lee, Brooke, Austin, Emery, Blaire and Wyatt; his siblings, Emma Wilson (Steve) and Richard Hatchel (Linda); his godchildren, Jay and Jamie Thornburg; and his friend Roger. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, coworkers, his church family.
