He was predeceased by: his siblings, Fred (McHone), Shirley Creed and Lillie Mae Simmons; his daughter Lisa McHone; and also, Fred and Lola Mchone.
He is survived by: his daughters, Tonya Michelle Talbert (Charles) of Lexington, NC and Bambi Johnson (Matt) of Lexington, NC; his grandchildren, Logan Everhart (Andrew), Taylor Walser (Zeb), Lucas Johnson, Makayla Shaw (Logan), Chad Talbert (Ashley) and Will Talbert; and his sisters, Ruth Massey, Pam Duggins (Gene) and Linda King (Larry).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, an organization that was close to his heart.
