He was predeceased by: his parents, Erskin Wimberly and Mary Kay Wimberly; and his sister Judith Hannon. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo; his children, Ronny and Joelle; his grandchildren, Ryan, Julianne and Ian; and his sister Norma Jean Gwinn. He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
