She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Thomas and Lillian Thomas; her husband Melvin Mitchell; her children, Charles Mitchell and Margaret McNairy; and her grandson Oneal McNairy.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Betty Walker, Reverend Sinda Lewis, Joyce Mcnairy, Leroy Mitchell (Rose) and Michael McNairy. She is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren; nineteen great-great grandchildren; four great-great great grandchildren; a godchild.
