He is survived by: his children, Marissa Benton-Brown (Danny) of Greensboro, NC, Ira Benton (LaKesha) of Greensboro, NC, Octavious Benton (Cherie) of Reno, NV and Alexis Benton (Nakisha) of Greensboro, NC; his siblings, Michelle Benton of Greensboro, NC, Earnest Benton of Siler City, NC, Larry Benton (Antionette) of Greensboro, NC and Charles Benton (Gwendolyn) of Charleston, SC; and his grandchildren, Claire Benton, Kia Brown, Celeste Brown, RaVaughn Hatcher-Brown, Corbin Benton, Ashlyn Benton, Micheal Fields, Jr., Ava Rawles, Bryce Benton, Tia Benton, Octavious Benton II and Christian Sarpy. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
