Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Ruth Elaine Shope of Greensboro, North Carolina, who passed away at the age of 96, on June 23, 2025. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Odas and Martha Frances Barker Talley; her husband Lawrence "Larry" M. Shope; and her siblings, Mary Edith "Edie", Ola Frances (Bonsie), Maud Virginia, Charles Odas (Joy), Constantine Barker "Cons" (Celia), Martha Lynn, William Bryan "Bill" (Kitty) and Robert Laverne "Bob" (Doris).
She is survived by: her daughters, Martha F. Kubik (Jan), Mary M. Heidi Bierstedt (Bert) and Ruth Elisabeth Johnson (Louis "Brud"); her grandchildren, Janek Kubik (Maddy), Adam Kubik (Andrea) and Hannah Williams (Shawn); and her great grandchildren, Scarlett and Finn. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the George Brothers Funeral Service (803 Greenhaven Dr, Greensboro, NC 27406). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
