She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Funderburk and Sarah Jeanette Horn Funderburk; her husband J. C. "Jake" Johnson, Jr.; her brothers, James Earl Funderburk and Ray Franklin Funderburk; and her stepson Jeff Johnson.
She is survived by: her stepdaughters, Melissa King (Steve), Melanie Wohlford (Richard) and Jenny Clodfelter (Phillip); and her close friend Joyce Harrell. She is also survived by eight step-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; eight nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Friendly Avenue Baptist Church (4800 W Friendly Ave, Greensboro, NC 27410). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Friendly Avenue Baptist Church Building Fund, 4800 West Friendly Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27410, or to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262.
