He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Carbone and Anne Bottoni Carbone; his sister Susan Bowman; and his brothers-in-law, Paul Bowman and Sal Cannizzaro.

He is survived by: his wife Irene Carbone; his son Stephen Edward of Greensboro; and his siblings, Janet Cannizzaro, Charles Carbone (Debra) and Robert Carbone. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
