She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles M. Stiles and Susan Armour Stiles; her husband Adam Lee Gibson (Pete); her daughter Susan Gibson; and her sisters, Cynthia Louise Stiles and Anne Stiles Hardin.
She is survived by: her son Jack Gibson (Dena Hooper Gibson); her grandchildren, Brian Gibson (Jill Eanes Gibson), Heather Gibson Winslow (Matt Winslow) and Melanie Gibson Elkins (Jack); her great grandchild Jack Christopher Elkins (Heather Holers Elkins); and her grandchildren, Leslie Elkins Wehmeyer (Chad Wehmeyer), Jessica Elkins Ballard (Clay Ballard), Charles Gibson and David Gibson (Marcia Calloway).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Forbis & Dick Guilford Chapel (5926 W Friendly Ave, Greensboro, NC 27410). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Forest Lawn Cemetery (3901 Forest Lawn Dr, Greensboro, NC 27455).
