He is survived by: his significant other Nancy Borum of Greensboro; his children, Michael Shane Elrod (Melissa) of Madison and Cagney Elrod (Sam Festa) of Key West, FL; his mother Anette Watson of Reidsville; his siblings, Randy Elrod of Reidsville, Jeff Watson (Wendy) of Reidsville, Vickie King (Tim) of Burlington and Cheryl Bird (Dan) of Reidsville; his grandchildren, Austin (Kelci), Brady Elrod, Leighton and Lily Festa; and his great grandchild Ashton Elrod.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks with gratitude that memorials in Terry's name be made to Children's Home of North Carolina.
