With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Thad Freeland Jr. (Greensboro, North Carolina), born in Statesville, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 12, 2024 at the age of 79. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thad Byron Freeland, Sr. and Rebecca Cook Freeland; and his siblings, Lewis Freeland and Jeanette Conte. He is survived by: his wife Sharon "Tut"; his children, Todd Freeland (Beth), Michelle Cox (Jack), Kelly Tagert (Paul), Tom Freeland (Megh) and Ashley Beard (Glenn); his sister Nancy Daves; and his grandchildren, Gabe, Sam, Jackson and Taylor. He is also survived by 22 nieces and nephews.
