He was predeceased by: his parents, Haldor C. Venable and Margaret Kimrey Venable; his wife Patricia Morrison Venable; and his brother James Venable. He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa Dillon (Mark) and Nancy Shaver (Richard); his grandchildren, Kimrey Dillon, Erin Lanier (Caleb), Natalie Shaver (Brent Weiss) and Ashley Burgess (Daniel); his great grandchildren, Hazel Lanier, Ember Lanier and Carter Burgess; his niece Sherrie Duke (Alan); and his nephew Brian Venable.
