He is survived by: his daughter Amanda Rae Souther Burdette (Adam); his grandchildren, Andrew and Ava Burdette; his sister Lily Coble; his niece Penny Moore (Lee); and his goddaughter Susan Watkins Newell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
