He was predeceased by: his wife Sharon Kearns; his parents, Jack Wayne Kearns Sr. and Marian Watkins Kearns; and his brother Jack Wayne Kearns Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Mark Kearns (Ann), Megan Medford (Christopher), Bradley Kearns (Caroline) and Neil Kearns (Briea); and his grandchildren, Ali Wolford, Carter Kearns, Sadie Kearns, Stella Kearns and Cooper Kearns.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Triad Cremation & Funeral Service (2110 Servomation Rd, Greensboro, NC 27407). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association (ADA) in William's memory, celebrating a life well-lived and a legacy that will continue to inspire those who knew and loved him.
