It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bette McKee Coggins of Greenville, North Carolina, who passed away on July 17, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Bette McKee departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Bette McKee may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Bette McKee leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Neal McKee and Virginia McKee; her daughter Shelley Pauline; and her husband Billy M. Coggins, Sr.. She is survived by: her sister Mary; and her pet Jeannie.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Pinewood Memorial Park (4150 E 10th St, Greenville, NC 27858).
