It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Truell Leonard of Greenville, North Carolina, who passed away on November 11, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Carol leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Carol may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Wilson Trull and Clatie Viola Smith Trull. She is survived by: her husband Ed Leonard; her siblings, Don Truell (Susie) of Thomasville and Victoria Truell of Lexington; her siblings' children, Donna Truell, Mike Truell, Robert Sink and Polly Davis; her great-niece Meri-Michael Truell; and her great-nephew Guy Dailey.
A funeral service was held on Monday, November 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Davidson Funeral Home (301 N Main St, Lexington, NC 27292). A burial was held on Monday, November 17th 2025 from 2:45 PM to 3:15 PM at the Forest Hill Memorial Park (1307 W Old Hwy 64, Lexington, NC 27295).
