He is survived by: his wife Vonzella Smith Barnes; his daughters, Tenille Barnes McFadden (Corey) of Charlotte and Ashli Barnes Jaroscak (Joseph) of Washington, D. C.; his grandchildren, Brayden and Zayne of Charlotte; his daughter Sophie of Washington, D. C.; his sisters, Annette Barnes Parker (Clifton) of Jamestown and Keisha Barnes of North Chesterfield, Virginia; his aunts, Velma Bratton of Thomasville and Linda J. Adams of Greensboro; and his goddaughter Phelicia Price of Greenville. He is also survived by inlaws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
