It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Daniel Ervin (Greenville, North Carolina), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on September 19, 2025, at the age of 29, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Jack Ervin, Elaine Ervin, Sandy Barr and Joe Galijatovic. He is survived by: his mother Stacy Ghere; his stepfather Patrick Ghere; his father Daniel Ervin; his stepmother Christina Ervin; his siblings, Jacob Ervin (Katelynd Ervin), Riley Ghere, Olivia Ghere, Noah Ghere, Destiny Ervin, Daniel Ervin and Devin Ervin; his grandmothers, Cynthia Somlay and Joanne Galijatovic; and his niece Seilah Ervin.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Smith Funeral Service (605 Country Club Dr, Greenville, NC 27834). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Greenville Church of God (3105 S Memorial Dr, Greenville, NC 27834).
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in order to assist with the cost of funeral services.
