It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Hanson Mobley of Greenville, North Carolina, who passed away on August 23, 2025, at the age of 52, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Karen departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Karen. Though Karen may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William and Teresa Hanson; and her grandson Tyson Mundo. She is survived by: her husband Timothy Mobley; her children, Amanda Shifflett (Victor Hernandez), TJ Mobley of Greenville and Blake Mobley (Sarah Shackelford) of Greenville; and her grandchildren, Kaison Mundo and Cole Hernandez.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Smith Funeral Service & Crematory (605 Country Club Dr, Greenville, NC 27834).
