He is survived by: his wife Pat Murray Nichols; his sons, Stephen Nichols, Jr., Brandon Nichols (Jennifer) and Doug Nichols (Amanda); his grandchildren, Vince, Brody and Jenna Nichols; his brother Tim Nichols (Amy); and his nephew William Nichols.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Greenville-North Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (400 Staton House Rd, Greenville, NC 27834).
